I should just hang my head in shame for being so behind on posting here – though I have been keeping my other blog updated. Hopefully you’ve found it. Anyway, many apologies for the delay, and thanks to a reader who just sent me an email to tell me to get some new content online.
What follows is one of my favorite weddings from last year. It was coordinated by the awesome Vail wedding planner, Jen Hammond, and was held at the Westin Riverfront in Avon. Molly and Luke really wanted to save their first meeting for the ceremony, and Molly was just beaming when she walked in. That triggered a chain reaction, starting with Luke: he teared up, then the bridesmaids did, then the 180 guests, the wedding planners, the DJ, the photographers (ahem), and just about everyone within a 200 yard radius. It was such a beautifully honest show of emotion, and it was a privilege to photograph. These two share a deep and strong connection. I was flattered that they chose me to document their wedding.
I’m also pretty excited that we’ve stayed in touch in the months since. I’m hoping we will be able to get together in March in Colorado to make a homebrew together – Luke’s a maestro and I’m a helpless beginner, so I’m hoping I can pick up some beer brewing tips.
Anyway, congratulations, you two. It’s been a true pleasure.
I have seen so many photos of guests, but I have very rarely seen images as expressive as yours. I don’t know if it has to do with this particular wedding, but these images did touch my heart…OMG… stunning!
Nice work, I like the use of short focus
Love all the emotion in these photos!!!
