The second half of Shipra and Sumer’s Indian wedding
The first section of this post is from the sangeet, one of the many prewedding ceremonies I photographed. It’s basically a raging party. Sumer and Shipra, along with family, had prepared intricate dances that went on for hours.
One shot I love is the third one down, where Sumer is in a hallway practicing his dance, and Shipra is getting her hair finished and also practicing the moves.
Bangles, bangles, bangles!
Sumer’s baraat ceremony was totally incredible. The baraat is the groom’s wedding processional, and he rode a horse through Multai. His side of the family was part of the celebration, and for hours they danced and sang their way through the city to the beat of drums.
