Snowy Winter Elopement in Estes Park

Brittany + Ben

A winter elopement in Rocky Mountain National Park in the snow

Brittany and Ben showed up in Estes Park for their elopement at Della Terra Mountain Chateau and were greeted with a beautiful winter wonderland. The town was digging out from beneath one of the most intense spring storms I can remember, and I’ve been here since 2006.

I hobbled up the venue’s walkway to meet them, completely thrashed from having spent the last few days shoveling away the four feet of snow that fell in about 48 hours. Three of those feet fell in just one single day! Trees all over Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park had fallen down, and so had entire buildings. It was a bit of a mess, but the landscape was breathtaking.

After a brief elopement ceremony, Brittany and Ben cut a wedding cake, drank some hot chocolate, and the three of us ventured into the Park for a snowy but beautiful couples portrait session. Here are some favorites from their day.

Congrats!
