It’s a huge honor when another wedding vendor asks you to shoot her wedding, which is what happened lately when Jamie of Estes Park Wedding and Event Planners contacted me about her big day.
Jamie and Chris, who both live up here in my hometown of Estes Park, were married recently during the fiery peak of fall colors. They chose a little meadow near Rocky Mountain National Park to say their vows, and had a beautiful, intimate, and very heartfelt ceremony. Chris was beaming with an uncontrollable smile as he watched Jamie walk down the aisle with her parents. The sun was low on the horizon, lending everything a beautiful orange glow.
As we shot couples portraits afterward, I somehow found myself about 20 feet up in an aspen tree shooting down at Jaime and Chris, who were lounging in the grass on the forest floor. They looked so happy.
Here’s a quick peak of some favorite photos of their Colorado wedding day.
Congrats, guys! I am humbled to have documented such a transformative moment in your lives.
Beautiful shots – and the Colorado backdrop (very dramatic) doesn’t hurt a bit. Good job.
The image of this bride in the yellow from the upper angle is KILLER, and I want to have a copy of the B&G in the forest (so to speak) where they look like they are part of a fairy tale on the ground. STUNNING. I am excited I stumbled on to your blog today!
