I had an awesome time shooting Dan and Natasha’s wedding at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera recently. The Lodge is perched high on a hill overlooking some of Colorado’s most beautiful mountains, which made for some gorgeous images, but the event design was even more spectacular thanks to Carolyn Moorman at Artisan Events.

Lots of cool things about the wedding. First, Dan’s brother is in a band, and traveled all the way out from Texas to play for the wedding. He spiced it up a little by bringing along a Russian folk band — in honor of Natasha’s heritage — to play as well. So the reception got off to a great start as Natasha and her family started dancing to these amazing songs. And the reception tent was just off the charts too. I can’t describe how cool it was with all the rich red colors in the drapes, table clothes, etc — just check out the photos. Super fun photographic opportunity.

One of my favorite shots of the year is the image of Natasha’s dad standing in front of the Lodge’s massive glass windows with an incredible reflection of the sky.

Anyway, Natasha, Dan, congratulations!
