I had a blast shooting Sabrina and Kurt’s wedding in Denver recently.
I never know what’s going to happen or what I’m going to find when I shoot in the urban wildlands (take, for example, the the Death Fest convention rockers I encountered in downtown Baltimore with Amber and Issam a few months ago) so it’s always exciting. Nothing crazy happened, but I did find all sorts of awesome alleys, colorful graffiti, and fun backdrops to shoot in and around.
I also really liked shooting at the Hotel Teatro in downtown Denver — the rooms there are very modern/deco and the light that filters in through the windows is always interesting. Sabrina and Kurt had their ceremony at the Artwork Network, which I’d never shot at before, and I have to say I was impressed. It’s a really cool gallery and it makes a great place for a wedding reception in Colorado‘s Mile High City.

This year I’ve been bringing along with my wife, Rannveig, who has become an awesome second shooter. Here’s a lovely shot she captured of the girls leaving Hotel Teatro.

What great pictures. I really enjoyed watching them 🙂
I’m crazy about that last one with the car!
this bride looks so in love. I love it.
Hey Nathan! I came across your photography site, mainly your adventure sporting one, and then linked over to this site. I have gone through all of your blog posts, and I am really impressed with your talent. Needless to say, I would like to see more and hope that this comment is an encouragement to keep your site up and running!
P.S. I have a Basenji dog too (she’s a total mutt, but I did a doggie DNA test on her)…would love to see more of Toots!
