Winter wedding at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park

Howard + Tiffany

Cozy winter warmth under a blanket of snow

What a super fun way to kick off the wedding season! Howard and Tiffany were hoping for a little snow on their wedding day, and they got a huge April blizzard. We tend to get one of those a year up here in Estes Park, and the timing was perfect.

Della Terra Mountain Chateau played host to this incredible extravaganza, and it’s probably the perfect place for a snowy winter wedding near Rocky Mountain National Park. I love the warm pendant lights, and how they illuminate this castle-like building when the land is covered in a thick blanket of snow.

I had already met Howard and Tiffany when I shot their engagement session (click here), so I had a great idea what their wedding would be like: full love love, laughter and a lot of ridiculous good times. I wasn’t disappointed.

Shooting their groups shots was a bit challenging — we wanted to do so outside in the snow, but each time we stepped out to shoot, the blizzard seemed to intensify. Ultimately we managed. Can’t go wrong with these cats.

Here are some favorites from their day. Congratulations you two!!

The note has a circular head and a straight stem with a single flag, much like the elegance captured in the best wedding photography.
