Intimate snowy elopement at Bear Lake and Sprague Lake
Sarah and Chris had a really beautiful, intimate elopement on the shores of Sprague Lake just as winter was turning to spring in the Colorado high country. Sprague lake is a beautiful place for an elopement, and many people say their vows on a small pier jutting out into the water with an epic view overlooking Hallet Peak, Flattop Mountain, and the rest of the continental divide.
I really loved their small ceremony, and the vows they said not only to each other, but also to each other’s children. It was super touching and actually made me cry!
Afterward, we headed up to the ice covered Bear Lake and did some couples portraits there, and then back down Bear Lake road at various stops along the way back down to Estes Park.
