BRIAN + CANDICE | ELOPEMENT

A misty engagement and elopement at Lily Lake and Wild Basin

Misty summer elopement in Allenspark, CO

Brian and Candice are both active military and wanted to do some engagement and elopement portraits in one session.

They had only one opportunity, which was during some very unusual and misty July weather, so we went for it.

I love shooting up at Lily Lake, which is where we did their engagement session. There are lots of gorgeous aspen groves and forested areas. Brian and Candice were psyched, and their affection for each other was palpable.

Then we headed on down Highway 7 toward Wild Basin for a few more wedding-ish portraits. We shot along the road at some super pretty pull offs, and then headed to Wild Basin Lodge. They wanted to check out the lodge anyway for their wedding, so we got a chance to shoot along the creek and in some of the venue’s large fields.

Despite the misty weather, the wildflowers were bright and colorful and totally out of control!

Congrats to Brian and Candice! So happy to meet you two and work together!
